AudioQuest GLC earned its name honestly. During development it was simply called the Great Little Cable, because everyone who heard it agreed — it delivered far more music than anyone expected from a cable of its size and price. When it came time to name it, nothing else felt right.

GLC has a way of disappearing in a system. The soundstage opens up, instruments gain body and space, and the upper registers become smooth and detailed without ever turning sharp or fatiguing. What makes GLC special isn’t hype — it’s thoughtful design. AudioQuest’s SST (Spread Spectrum Technology) and Long-Grain Copper Hyperlitz conductors are arranged in a proven Star-Quad geometry, a design known for excellent noise rejection and musical coherence. GLC uses four conductors of two different gauges — 19 AWG and 17 AWG — combined to form a 15 AWG aggregate. This Star-Quad arrangement has been used for decades because it works: it reduces distortion, lowers noise, and keeps music intact from amplifier to speaker.

It’s a simple design, but one that performs well beyond its appearance.

The GLC Deluxe is electrically identical to the standard GLC.
